Creating Reports
14.1
Creating Reports For One Tranche Of Data
14.1.1
To create reports using the NI195 website you will have to click on the Request Reports link in the top menu bar. It is important to remember that only submitted data can be used to generate a report.

14.1.2
When requesting a report you need to follow a simple procedure. First select the relevant survey tranche.
14.1.3
Using ‘Report Type’, you can choose whether you would like the results displayed in NI195 format (with B – grades given half-weight) or in BV199 format (with the grades unweighted).
14.1.4
The ‘BV 199’ option is designed to enable authorities to transform NI 195 survey results into the equivalent BV 199 format (the previous Cleanliness Performance Indicator), so that
a.
authorities can compare NI 195 survey results with previous years’ BV 199 survey results; and
b.
authorities can use the raw (unweighted) data behind NI 195 results as management information, to help make decisions on priorities when allocating resources between land uses (see Section 16.4).
To create reports using the NI195 website you will have to click on the Request Reports link in the top menu bar. It is important to remember that only submitted data can be used to generate a report.

Creating Reports Using More Than One Survey Tranche
14.2.1
To create reports to generate your end of year NI 195 Return, select the relevant three surveys.
14.2.2
To do this press and hold the Control Key (Ctrl) on your keyboard and select the three surveys you want to merge (see Screenshot 23).
14.2.3
You can also create ‘annual rolling updates’ every four months to monitor trends over a twelve-month period, by selecting the latest survey and the two previous ones. This facility is designed to help managers keep a close eye on trends without waiting until the end of a survey year.

14.2.4
You can then select whether you wish to have the results calculated either using the NI 195 methodology (with B- grades given half weighting) or using the raw data (i.e. as for the previous BVPI199 Cleanliness Performance Indicator method).
14.2.5
Press the ‘Go’ button and you will be taken to the View Reports screen.

14.2.6
You can now press the ‘Refresh Page’ button. When the report status reads ‘Complete’ click on the ‘Complete’ link and your report will open.

Creating Reports Using A Filter
14.3.1
You can create reports using filters, to specifically put out certain data sets (e.g. results for just one Ward area).
14.3.2
To do this, simply select your survey tranche(s) as normal and use the drop down filters for either ‘Ward’, ‘Surveyor’ or ‘Low Density Social Housing’.

14.3.3
Press ‘Go’ button and you will be taken to the View Reports screen as usual.
